Winston-Salem, N.C. (March 9, 2026) — More than 60 people turned out Thursday, Feb. 26 for “Let’s Connect, King,” a community networking event hosted by Pine State Development and Banner Team Properties at StoCo Provision in downtown King.
The two-hour evening gathering brought together a broad cross-section of the community including current and prospective homeowners, local real estate professionals, the Mayor of King and members of the public for an evening of conversation, great food and genuine connection.
Held at StoCo Provision, a locally renowned coffee, craft beer and events space, the event featured catering by The Mercantile Chophouse. Milt Rhodes, principal planner for Winston-Salem-based Pine State Development, outlined the company’s history, its approach to residential development and the communities it currently serves in the Piedmont Triad.
“Not everyone thinks about what goes into building a neighborhood, but the more that developers and community members interact with each other, the better the outcome for everyone,” said Rhodes. “That’s what this is about. We’re not just building houses. We’re investing in the places we call home, and we want the people of King to know us and hold us to that.”
Company representatives highlighted their commitment to being locally engaged, noting that Pine State team members live and work in the very communities where they build. Rhodes highlighted Pine State’s active project in King, Gentry Farm, and attendees connected with local sales representatives for information about upcoming development in the area.
King Mayor Rick McCraw was among the attendees, along with an appointed city official, reflecting Pine State Development’s commitment to build relationships with civic leaders as well as neighbors and real estate partners.
Thursday’s event is intended to be the first in a recurring series of community gatherings across the Triad markets where Pine State Development is active, including communities in and around Winston-Salem, Kernersville, Clemmons, and Lexington. The company views these events as a cornerstone of its approach to community-minded development: creating spaces for honest dialogue about growth, housing and what it means to build well, together.
